How many sets of sheets and towels should a hotel keep per bed?
US laundry industry experts say hotels generally treat 3 sets per bed as the minimum and 4 sets as a safer level. A 2025 article in a US hotel trade publication recommends at least 4 sets, divided by location: set 1 in use in the guest room, set 2 in the wash, set 3 clean and stored on the floor or near the laundry, and set 4 kept in a locked room to replace damaged items. The sources say too little linen slows down room turnaround and wears linen out faster through frequent washing, while too much ties up cash and makes storage harder.
Both sources are opinions from US experts, not figures measured in Thailand, so count the actual linen at each location in your hotel and compare it with these numbers.
