Washer won't spin or drain: is it always the machine's fault? 🔧
It may not be a machine fault at all. IMAGE washer manuals state that if the drain system is inadequate, the machine will not extract properly and will not drain normally. The manuals also state that longer hoses, elbows or kinked pipes reduce flow and lengthen drain time, and that the drain trough must be able to handle water from all machines draining at the same time.
What to do: when a machine won't spin or won't drain, check the drain system along with the machine itself, including hose length, the number of elbows, and the size of the drain trough compared with the number of machines in use, then follow the manual for your model.
