🏗️ What kind of floor should a hard-mount washer stand on?
Hard-mount industrial washers put heavy loads on the floor during extraction, so the foundation matters for both the machine and your building. The IMAGE hard-mount washer manual says the following about floors:
1. A proper foundation is essential
2. The entire machine base must sit on a flat, level surface, never on just four support points
3. Never install on any kind of wooden floor
4. Never install above grade or over a basement; installation must be on a slab on grade or equivalent
5. If the concrete base needs to be raised, the manual allows this only when it is bonded to the existing floor as a single piece, because extraction forces are very high
