🧺 How many kilos can a washer take? Look at the cylinder: 10 liters of volume per 1 kg of dry linen

Washer capacity isn't something you estimate by eye. In IMAGE washer manuals, load capacity is based on cylinder volume, at 1 kg of dry linen per 10 liters. For example, a 187-liter cylinder takes 18.7 kg of dry linen, and a 95.5-liter cylinder takes 9.6 kg. The manual gives these figures as dry load capacity. An article in a laundry trade journal recommends the same ratio for towels, 10 liters of cylinder volume per 1 kg of dry linen, but that article is trade-press advice, not a manufacturer specification. What to do is weigh the linen on a scale before loading. US EPA guidance recommends considering a scale to weigh loads to capacity, and the machine's manual should always take priority.
